Our client's Engineering Team seeks a strategic, visionary, and hands-on leader to define the technical backbone of their global HR platform, drive AI-powered innovation, and ensure systems are secure, scalable, and future-proof. You'll work with a global team of talented individuals spread across 26 countries in a fully flexible remote environment.

This role combines technical leadership with architectural vision, where you'll mentor senior engineers, collaborate with Product and AI teams, and guide the organization toward engineering excellence. What you will do as a Principal Engineer

• Define Technical Vision: Lead the technical and architectural vision for the core platform, ensuring scalability and future-readiness

• Drive AI Innovation: Lead AI and machine learning initiatives that power automation, compliance, and data intelligence across the platform

• Embed Security Excellence: Implement DevSecOps and security-first principles throughout the software delivery lifecycle

• Design Scalable Systems: Create resilient, cloud-native systems that support global operations and meet enterprise-grade requirements

• Technical Leadership: Mentor senior engineers, cooperate with Engineering managers, and guide teams toward engineering excellence

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Product, Data, and AI teams to deliver intelligent, secure, and high-performing solutions

What we are looking for

• Extensive Experience: 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong system design and architecture skills

• AI/ML Expertise: Proven experience in AI/ML integration or productionizing machine learning models at scale

• DevSecOps Mastery: Deep expertise in DevSecOps, cloud security, and automation (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code)

• Backend Proficiency: Strong proficiency in backend technologies such as Java/Python

• Leadership Skills: Strong problem-solving, leadership, and mentorship capabilities with track record of guiding technical teams

• Innovation Focus: Passion for innovation, scalability, and secure software design in enterprise environments

Desirable (but not required):

• Experience in HR tech, fintech, or data-heavy platforms

• Familiarity with GDPR, ISO27001, and modern data protection frameworks

• Knowledge of AI ethics, model monitoring, or ML security

• Experience with AI/ML applications, observability, and intelligent automation
